JOINT STATEMENT from NKD and South Central Brooklyn United for Progress

After Brittany Ramos-DeBarros was the only candidate to confirm her participation, local political clubs canceled the NY-11 Congressional Forum scheduled for August 1. We underscore the need for candidates to directly engage with the constituents they hope to represent.

This Saturday August 6th from noon-3pm, join us for NKD's annual picnic! We'll meet on the lawn N of the Picnic House in Prospect Park — look for the NKD banner. Bring a snack to share, or just bring yourself. All are welcome!

This Monday, July 11, at 5:30pm, NKD and other Brooklyn clubs are hosting a Candidate Forum for the new 10th Congressional District (Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Sunset Park, Red Hook, and Lower Manhattan). 10 candidates so far have confirmed they'll attend — we hope you will too!
