November 2022 Election Shows Need for Change in Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Democratic Party barely got involved in the 2022 General Election, and Democrats lost ground to Republicans. Read NKD President Caitlin Kawaguchi's analysis in the NY Daily News. Then consider a donation to Brooklyn Can't Wait, to support candidates for party leadership who'll build a party that respects, empowers, and includes all Brooklynites.

General Meeting Weds Nov 16

NKD's Monthly General Meeting will take place on Wednesday November 16th, at 7:00pm. This will be a hybrid meeting, so you can join us in person in the First Unitarian Chapel, 121 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights, or virtually via Zoom. Register here to join us.

At this meeting we'll elect officers to lead NKD for the next year. To vote in our meetings, you must have attended two meetings in the past twelve months, and you must pay club dues (you can do so here). But everyone is welcome to attend and participate in our discussions!

We'll also discuss last week's election — how our local party failed to support candidates in close races in Southern Brooklyn, and how we're trying to lay the groundwork for a party that can organize more effectively.

General Election Voter Guide

We had primaries in June and August this year, but now it's General Election time — do you know who's on your ballot? We hope you'll vote for Democrats, but did you know you can also vote for Democrats on the Working Families line? Learn about this and more in our 2022 General Election Voter Guide!
