We'll talk with candidates and hold an endorsement vote in Council District 40. Please read the candidates' questionnaires here before the meeting. We'll share how you can support all our endorsed candidates. We'll also hear updates from our committees, including a presentation from Policy Committee about judicial elections and why they matter.

Everyone is welcome to join the meeting, but to vote on endorsements you must have attended two meetings and paid dues in the last 12 months.

The Brooklyn Democratic Party’s leadership is doing everything in its power to prevent its democratically elected membership from participating in their own party. 

On October 27th, Judge Edgar Walker ruled in favor of the County Committee members who recently sued the Brooklyn Democratic Party over a rule that violated state law by removing County Committee members’ ability to vote on Party rules and leadership. The Party now must hold a County Committee meeting virtually within 45 days.
