New Kings Democrats members have endorsed Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani for NYC mayor in the 2025 general election!

Typically NKD doesn’t make endorsements in the general election — as a Democratic club we don't need to take a vote to support Democrats against Republicans. But the circumstances of this election are unusual: There are two former Democrats running as independents, and our primary endorsement of Zohran was as part of our first ever multi-candidate endorsement, so it makes sense to clarify who we're supporting in the general.

Zohran Mamdani will be the Democratic nominee for NYC mayor in November! Meanwhile, NKD's endorsed candidates for City Council (Shahana Hanif, Alexa Avilés, Crystal Hudson, and Lincoln Restler), Brooklyn Borough President (Antonio Reynoso), and Public Advocate (Jumaane Williams) all won decisive victories in their Democratic primary races.
