Become an NKD Member
Becoming a member of New Kings Democrats entitles you to weigh in on major club decisions, including electing our leaders and making endorsements. Members dues is a significant portion of our income, and makes the work we do possible.
Member status requires paying dues, with options for monthly or yearly payments.
To vote in endorsement decisions and officer elections, you must also have attended two NKD events in the past calendar year.

Join a standing committee
Consider joining one of our standing committees, where our members are working hard to make progressive reform a reality.
Policy Committee
Led by the Vice President of Policy, this permanent committee develops the club’s policy priorities, and is governed by its own bylaws. Check out NKD's Platform, each plank of which was thoroughly researched and developed by Policy Committee and brought to the general membership for discussion and approval.
Political Affairs Committee
Led by the Vice President of Political Affairs, this committee facilitates the club's candidate endorsement process and strategizes around how we can better hold our elected officials accountable.
Organizing Committee
Led by the Vice President of Organizing, this committee works hard to strategize political and campaign activity, build coalitions with local progressive clubs and electeds, and leverage resources to achieve real reforms.
Membership Committee
Led by the Membership Director, this committee seeks to make sure NKD is representative of the population of the borough we all call home. The committee works to share NKD's message as widely as possible, and to challenge NKD to be as inclusive as we should be. This year, Membership Committee has also organized a Racial Justice Book Club, where members convene to read about and discuss how racism and white supremacy have impacted all of our lives.
Communications Committee
Led by the Communications Director, this committee makes sure that the club is communicating as clearly and as strategically as possible about our work.
Data Committee
Led by the Data Director, this committee gathers and analyzes data in support of the club's political work.
