There will be five proposals on your New York ballot this November. We discussed these and voted in our October meeting, and we're recommending voting YES on proposals 1, 3, and 4. Read more about the proposals and why we support them here.
Thursday, October 14 at 7pm, join NKD's monthly General Meeting! We'll talk about redistricting and vote on making recommendations for the November ballot questions. We'll also discuss the County Committee lawsuit, District Leader campaigns & more. All are welcome, register here to join us on Zoom.
NKD supported a group of County Committee members who sued the Brooklyn party over their undemocratic conduct of the December 2020 County Committee meeting. On October 1, a judge threw out the suit on a technicality relating to how it was filed. We're disappointed, but this ruling is additional motivation to help more people run for County Committee and other party offices in 2022, so we won't have to sue the party again in order to have a democratic meeting. Read this new statement from NKD and the plaintiffs for more information about the suit, and join us at our October 14 General Meeting to talk about our next steps.
