This is going to be a transformative year for the Brooklyn Democratic Party — NKD has already endorsed more district leader candidates then ever before, and we're not done yet!

We'll hear from district leader candidates in Assembly Districts 59, 57, and 42. We'll also hear from candidates for Assembly in districts 50 and 54.

NKD members are baffled and disturbed by the hiring of Andy Marte as Executive Director of the Brooklyn Democratic Party. As reported in The City, Marte was recently a registered Republican and supporter of Donald Trump's campaign, and used his platform to share conspiracy theories. Worse, when he was a Democrat he continued to support former party boss Vito Lopez after substantiated sexual harassment allegations forced Lopez out of the Assembly.

We'll hear from four candidates for two district leader seats in the 52nd Assembly District, then conduct endorsement votes. To vote, you must have attended at least two meetings in the past twelve months, and must have paid membership dues (you can pay dues here).
